I started as a Product Manager before becoming an engineer and going deep on AI. That means I ask the right questions to figure out the right thing to do, and then can build it too.
I now run a team built the same way. We embed inside businesses, help them understand what is possible & most impactful, and then actually do the work to.
What's the deal?
At the end of 2022, while working as a Product Manager, I got sick of not being able to build things. I felt like it was pointless thinking about what without the why — and vice versa. The best products I'd been part of fell at the intersection of both.
I taught myself to code and started building. I've since grown multiple businesses with 50,000+ users, shipped apps, built AI agents, and rebuilt the systems underneath companies that were held back by software that didn't fit.
I learned pretty fast that most consultants can't possibly know what to do without actually building, and most builders just take orders from a person who may not know what is possible/most impactful.. So I set out to combine the two into one service that I call 'Deployed Product Engineers'
Now we sit with businesses all across New Zealand who want to use AI, Software, Technology to grow more efficiently and actually help guide them to that reality.
The Problem
Why most technology implementations fail
If you hire a consultant you get someone who knows how to do the basics, but can't squeeze out the final 20% that makes an OK implementation great. If you hire a builder, you miss the bigger picture about where and how to start.
