Mortgage advisors in New Zealand spend hours manually managing client refixes, tracking mortgage terms, and maintaining client relationships across disconnected tools. HomeFree streamlines this with a dual-platform approach: a web dashboard for advisors and a mobile app for clients, all powered by a shared mortgage calculation engine.

Overview

HomeFree is built as a monorepo using Turbo and pnpm workspaces, allowing shared code between the advisor web dashboard (Next.js) and client mobile app (React Native/Expo). This architecture ensures consistency while optimizing for each platform's strengths.

The advisor dashboard handles client management, mortgage tracking, refix scheduling, and communication. The mobile app gives clients visibility into their mortgage status, upcoming refixes, and direct communication with their advisor. A shared calculation engine package handles all mortgage math, ensuring accuracy across both platforms.

Supabase provides the backend with real-time sync, authentication, and database management. The platform is multi-tenant, supporting multiple advisory firms with custom branding and company settings. Currently in active development with user management, company settings, and core mortgage tracking features complete.
